1.      Nails

Creative Nail Design® –
Clear Velocity Tips
Four (4) Size A1

2.      Background

Basecoat nails for airbrushing leaving “wave-like” edge at tip of nails free of product.

TooMuchFun™ Crystal White Base Coat.

3.      Ocean Floor

Airbrush nails with base color, from well to tip varying degrees of intensity (deeper on tip well).  Follow with an even spray of mixed shimmer paint for highlight.

TooMuchFun™ Professional Nail Color – #04 Blue, #43 Blue Effect and #41 Aqua Sparks.

4.      Lobster “Chef”

Hand paint oval shape for body; add small neck and small oval for head.  Add jointed legs and arms leaving one claw pointing up (this claw will hold barbecue fork) Dot eyes and paint smile.  Shade inner part of ovals to give the appearance of the underside of the lobster.  Add apron over lobster body. Highlight joints in arms and legs.

5.      Shell “Barbecue Grill”

Hand paint “open – shell shape”, shade bottom and sides of shells for dimension.  Paint thin grid lines for grill on bottom shell, dot two “hamburger patties”.  Hand paint stand and base.

Folk Art® Acrylic Paint in Rose Pink and Whipped Berry.

ChomaTemp Tempera Paint in Pearlescent White.

Apple Barrel Colors® in Burnt Umber and Dusty Mauve.

6.      “Sunbathing” Shark

Hand paint rectangular shape for towel.  Hand paint large oval shape for shark body, small triangle on top for fin, and tail – extending outside of “towel”.  Add shading to top of fin and side of shark body for dimension.  Add smile and draw large dot over eye area, and add line on side to give the appearance of sunglasses.

7.      “Lounging” Octopus

Hand paint 2 rectangles in shape of lounge chair; add short legs on side and front of chair to give dimension. Add contrasting-color stripe pattern on chair.  Paint large rounded shape for octopus head, add slight neck and fan out “legs” in different directions (my octopus has five legs...but who’s counting!) Extend one “leg” upwards – this leg will hold cocktail glass.  Highlight head and dots on tentacles for depth.  Dot eyes and draw thin smile.  Hand paint small “V” shape for cocktail glass; draw thin line for stem and small line across for base.  Shade in “drink” and paint thin angled line extending from glass rim for “straw.”

Anita’s™ All purpose Acrylic Craft Paint in Lime.

8.      “Volleyball” Crabs

Paint thin line “sticks”, draw rectangle outline for “net”, extend lines out of the corners of net to “loop” around sticks.  For Crab bodies, hand paint small circle with tapered sides.  Add jointed feet and claws.  Leave one set of claws angled upwards to simulate “playing” pose.  Dot eyes and dash smile on crab facing forward and dot slight “eyes” on the crab facing the opposite way to simulate dimension.  Finish by shading outer edge of crab bodies.  Paint volleyball and action lines above crab facing forward.

9.      Rock & Radio

Hand paint rock on ocean floor.  Paint rectangle shape for radio, shade in circles at each end to simulate speakers. Draw “handle” above rectangle and paint in music notes.

10. Algae

Hand paint seaweed and plants in assorted colors, shade, add Blue-Green glitter for pizzazz!

11. Sea Foam

 Outline top of “wave” across all 4 nails with topcoat, sprinkle with glitter for sea foam.

Outline with Seche Vite™ Dry Fast Top Coat.

TooMuchFun™ Glimmerz Micro Glitter Dust in Crystalina.
