Mindy Borrego

Mindy received her Colorado manicuring license in 1987. Upon returning
to her home state of Connecticut in late 1988, she opened "Mindyfingers,"
a nails-only salon the following year. She is the columnist of 'Net
Notes for Nailpro, as well as a member of that magazine's advisory
board. In 1997 she was selected 1st runner-up for Nails magazine
"Nail Technician of the Year;" the following year she was 4th
runner-up for Nailpro's "World's Top Tech,"--the only nail
tech to be so honored by both major industry publications. She is a
Creative Nail Master as well as a Peters' Perspective certified nail
judge. She frequently judges nail competitions nationally as well as
internationally. She is a Nailpro cover tech and has worked on the set
of Saturday Night Live doing nails on the guest artist. She is also
found (occasionally in the lounge) on the "Nail Those Profits at
Sea" cruises.

Patty Blanusa
Almost 20 years after she began, Patty
continues to be passionate about nails. Always eager to learn, she looks
forward to a continued bright future working together with Creative Nail
Design for the past 9 years to raise the standards of the nail industry.
The only gratification I need,' she says, "is knowing I have helped
others become successful at what I love the most Nails."

Keri
Naylor
Lake Mary, FL
Keri has been a Nail Tech for over 10 years, starting in the state of Connecticut and moving to Florida in
the summer of 2000. Her love for nail art has kept her motivated throughout the years and now she focuses on
3D and colored acrylic art. Keri hopes to become an educator soon because she loves to share her passion
and knowledge of nail technology with others.
Keri first competed in the Strut Your Stuff online competition in July of
2001 where she placed second in the "Enhancement" category. Her second competition was
in the "Enhancement 1" category of the Strut Your Stuff 2 competition in July of
2002. She placed 1st in this competition. She is very excited to be on the
other side of the table as a judge.

Amy
Anzlovar
Denver, CO
Amy has been a nail technician for over 11 years, beginning her career in Florida, and continuing it in Colorado after moving there in 1995. Despite the fact that she now tries to convince every other nail technician to try competitions as a great learning experience, she was totally terrified to do so herself until 1999. In 2000, she was ranked 14th in NAILS Magazine's Top 25 Competitors.
She placed 1st in the enhancement category of the Strut
Your Stuff contest and honorable mention in the Online
Spring Nailart Contest. Amy is had her first child this past fall, and
currently taking a break from clients while adjusting to her new family, but will remain active
in the industry "behind the scenes".

Patti "Preggo"

Patti is licensed nail technician in MI for over 10 years. She was
the 2nd runner up in Nails Magazine's first annual cover contest. A
veteran in the competition arena nationally and internationally, you will
frequently see Patti in the winners circle. She has placed in the top 3 in several competitions and have been ranked in Nails Top 25.
Patti entered the '02 Strut competition
and placed 3rd in veteran Enhancement category and honorable mention in
the Mixed Media category. Patti also enjoys mentoring other technicians.

Hannah Lee is the Managing Editor of NAILS Magazine. She's been with the magazine for four years and has been certified as a nail competition judge through The Judges Network. Hannah knows what makes great nails, from concept to completion, she oversees NAILS' covers each month.

Casey Raimer
York, PA
Casey Raimer has been in the beauty industry for 12 years. She began her
career as a cosmetologist, doing both hair and makeup. After seeing a poster
of airbrushed nails in 1990, her curiosity turned towards nails. Casey's long
love of art work has inspired her to sample all the various mediums of the
nail world. Casey's various forms of nail creations have been seen many times
in both Nailpro and NAILS magazines, along with Airbrush Action. Casey has
been an invited guest on the TODAY show, and has also been contacted in the
past by the Rosie O'Donnel show. She has won numerous competitions, including
the Beautytech Spring Nail Art / Airbrushing category, The 2000 Alternative
nail awards/Decorated Hands and Feet, and most recently was a winner with all
3 of her entries in Airbrush Action's 2001 Excellence Competition, receiving
1st, 2nd, and 4th place. Casey is an IBD International Educator, and
resides in York, Pa, where she lives with her husband and 4 children.

Pamela Saywer-Thompson

Pamela achieved her manicuring license in 1993 after retiring from the Police Dept.
and when asked, she says: " I love nails and what it offers." Its given
her the opportunity to own her own company Designer Nail Products, which
she started started with nail tutorial videos in 1995 and now has expanded to airbrush guns, paints, stencils, cuticle oils, and
her own nail pictorial magazine. Early in Pamela's career she was able to set goals.
She enjoyed competitions, and winning, but it also helps in raising your standards to its highest levels.

Kellos
Layton, UT
Julie has been in the beauty industry for 11 1/2 years, has been a judge in
past competitions, currently is the Director of Education for Too Much Fun
and continues to teach throughout the U.S. as well as internationally. She
was a Master Educator with EZ Flow for 2 years. Her artwork has been published in both Nailpro and NAILS magazines along with being interviewed
for the Rosie O'Donnel Magazine. Julie has created the nails and artwork
for numerous promotional posters and brochures with Too Much Fun. She is an
international competitor who has placed and won in several competitions,
most recently in the Beautytech Strut Your Stuff 1 competition/Airbrushing
category. She has also received the AVA Salon of the Year Runner Up Award
for 2002. She currently owns Nail Glyphx Salon/Distributorship in Layton,
Utah where she lives with her daughter and husband. Julie is also an accomplished vocalist and currently has a CD out on the local MAS label.

Ellen Torchia
North Bend, WA
International award winning nail artist
and top 10 National nail competitor for 2002. Licensed massage
practitioner (1989) and manicurist (1997). Specializing in airbrushing
(nail art, make up, and tanning) and owner of Beautyairbrushing.com, as
well as Air Affair, a commercial airbrush makeup company. As a health
care provider, safety, sanitation and disinfection in our industry has
been a priority of Ellen's. Everyone benefits from education. Ellen
teaches airbrushing of nails, makeup, temporary tattoos and tanning. She
has experience educating for several manufacturers as well as being the
featured educator for a Badger Airbrush instructional video. Ellen also
received a special award from the Nail Tech Network for Outstanding
Mentoring in 2002.

Jai began her career in the
beauty industry in 1991 as a makeup artist, and then continued studying
to gain her Diploma in Beauty Therapy (Esthetics). As part of this
course, Jai took nails because she hated electrolysis - so that was how
her passion for the nail industry began! Based in Greensborough
Australia, Jai has traveled to the USA many times in her search for
knowledge, and returns to share it with other technicians in Australia
where she currently works as an Educator and Distributor.
Jai is an International Master Artist
Educator for EzFlow Nail Systems, an educator for Too Much Fun, and a Certified
Instructor with ibd. She is a regular competitor, has won and placed in several
competitions, and placed in the 2001 Strut
Your Stuff Beautytech competition (which was a
definite highlight!). She also works on the council of the Australian
Professional Fingernail Association.

Barbara has been a cosmetologist since 1988. She got interested in nail art
from an instructor at school. She entered the Spring '99 Nail Art Contest
and placed first in the Strut Your Stuff 2 Mixed Media. Barbara enjoys
doing both hair and nails in Lake Havasu City. She also airbrushes and does free hand work and is always looking for new stuff to try. She's married
and likes to have fun at work at Noggins Studio West Barbara has lived in Havasu

Nails for 8 years and travels throughout the United States for Tammy Taylor teaching
classes and managing the TT booth at various trade shows. Janene's talented airbrush work
placed her 1st in the Tammy Taylor Nailart Contest and 2nd in the Online

Poland
Slawomir Wos is the owner of Euro Fashion - one of the biggest distributors
and wholesalers of nail industry in Middle- Eastern Europe. Euro Fashion is
manor distributor of 30 American firms in Middle-Eastern Europe. Slawomir
has specialized in nails since 1995. He is an organizer of Polish Championships of Nails Decorating "Nail Art" and "Nail Creations" and
International Championship of Nails Decorating "International Nail Art".
Everybody knows his sense of beauty and esthetics and because of that he was
championships juror for many times. Slawomir is one of the very first managers who represent nail industry in Poland and Eastern Europe. Probably
he's the only one male in Poland who knows everything about nails. He's always happy to show people new ways of nail art that's why Euro Fashion
organizes many trainings. Courageous, sensitive manager with a great sense
of humor.
