ESSAY:

This design is 100% hand painted. I have used acrylic colors: yellow, black, gold, red; detail brush, striping brush, marbleizing tool; black nail polish

First I painted nail tips (pre glued on to the tooth picks) with black polish, allowed them to dry.

Then using my striping brush I painted gold lines on the tips. Using my detail brush I painted gold leaves near the lines and the bird´s bodies, allowed paint to dry. Using my marbleizing tool I painted red dots- berries on different areas of the tips. Then I mixed red and yellow colors to get orange and painted some orange dots with the same tool.

Using my red color and detail brush I painted red centers of the leaves and lines/ other leaves on, and accents on the birds and around the brunches and berries. Then with my detail brush I added black accents to the berries (red dots), leaves and painted the bird´s eyes.

Then I applied top coat and allowed it to dry.
I have used Fujifilm Fine Pix 6800 Zoom digital camera and Paint Shop Pro 6 to edit the shots.
