Ol' Fashioned Hot Buttered Rum Batter
1 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Salt (dash)
Cream the sugar along with the butter (or margarine).
Add remaining ingredients
blend well into a batter.

I have never made this...i found the recipe at http://www.mountain-breeze.com/cookin/dhc16a.html...
I decided to look for a recipe because some people havent been able to find the batter in the liquor stores... Hope it helps.

I made a small bucket of batter this year. My usual recipe is:

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

1 lb Brown Sugar
1/2 lb salted Butter
1 tsp ground Nutmeg
1 tsp ground Cinnamon
1 tsp ground Cloves
1 tsp ground Cardamom
1 tsp Vanilla

This year I used clarified butter no need for refrigeration now and a mix of equal parts Dried Cane Juice, Mexican Sugar, and Yellow D, for the sugar.

Might be my best batch yet, especially when mixed with cider.
